Writing conventions

The company name is never used as a logo in a paragraph of text or a title. The first letter is always a capital and the following letters are always in lowercase – unless the name appears in the context of an all-caps paragraph style.

When the company name is used in combination with other words, it should be separated from them (for example: “Hocoma partner” or “Hocoma product”).

The writing conventions for product names and other terms are noted in the document QA 3123 of the Quality Management guide.

Use of brand names in text

The brand names are never shown in the body text as graphical logos, but are always spelled out. Compound product names are always written in one word with a capital letter at the beginning of the second word. The first time the product is mentioned in an official document or in marketing material, and in titles, the ® has to be placed behind the registered brand name and the sub-name is placed behind it without adding an extra space.

Product names and company names are never combined or altered.
Cases or plural forms are never used:

False: Lokomaten
Correct: Lokomat
False: Armeosoftware
Correct: Armeo Software
